Apple Crumble Pie

Yep, it does have the crumble but also a crust! Incredibly delicious altough a tad long to make when preparing the apples.



Ingredients for 20cm tin:


CRUST:

  • 335g flour

  • 200g butter

  • 110g water

  • 20g sugar

  • 1/4 tsp salt

FILLING:

  • 800g apples (prepared/sliced - not 1.25kg!)

  • 100-120g sugar

  • 40g flour

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp cloves

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1 tsp vanilla

TOPPING:

  • 75g flour

  • 75g oats

  • 112g butter

  • 112g brown sugar



Method:

Baking notes: 190 degrees C fan oven for 20 mins. Then cover with tinfoil and bake another 40 min
