Nibbles

Not really recipes here, but tried and tested ideas of nibbles to serve with an aperitif


Creamy cucumber bites:

  • Peel the cucumber, then cut into not too thin slices

  • Put some creme fraice on top

  • Decorate with fresh chives or dill


Roasted almonds:

  • Put blanched flaked almonds into a non stick pan with a couple of drops of olive oil, a little bit of rock salt, a little it of dried rosemary

  • Cook on medium heat watching it carefully and stirring to prevent burning

  • Once ready, leave to cook onto a plate lined with absorbent kitchen paper


Goat crostini:

  • Slice some honey organic goat cheese

  • Put a slice on each of your Italian crackers


Avocado & cucumber bites:

  • Peel the cucumber, then cut into not too thin slices

  • Topping: smashed ripe avocado flesh in lemon/lime juice, fine salt, pepper, cumin, cayenne pepper.

  • Decorate with half of a cherry tomato over each
