Peppers - peperoni grandi e piccini

This one was done very much "alla prima", starting with a totally untreated background on a cardboard-for-oils A4. My folks liked it a lot, so it's actually my first painting to be framed!

Colours:
Lamp Black
Paynes Grey
Flake White
Permanent Green Light
Emerald Green
Sap Green
Permanent Rose
Cadmium Yellow (pale hue)
Burnt Umber
Raw Sienna
Medium "alla prima":
2 parts Turpentine
4 parts Liquin Original
2 parts Damar Varnish
2 parts Linseed Oil
As always I start with a really rough sketch, and I "draw" directly with the brush.

This is how it looked like at the end of this layer, as you can see it was almost finished:

The day after (the alla prima medium allowed me to paint it that soon!) I simply added some glazing and highlights, so this is it finished now:
